If coming from the water, 25° 27.8’ N., 80° 19.2’ W., the Herbert Hoover Marina has a dockside depth of five to six feet and an approach depth of three and a half to five feet.

This Biscayne Bay marina can accommodate vessels up to fifty feet and boasts several amenities, including:

Traveling to Homestead Bayfront Park From Homestead, Florida

If you are driving here from Homestead, you will want to take SW 328th Street for roughly eight miles until you reach the park entrance straight ahead.

Are you staying in Homestead as your home base for memorable Key West and Everglades excursions? You can also bike to Homestead Bayfront Park. The bike trail and the walking path begins at SW 328th Street and SW 147th Avenue.

The Homestead Bayfront Park bike trail is appropriately named North Canal Path. You can also choose to hop on the C-103/Mowry Trail by taking a left onto SW 117th Avenue. After two hundred feet, you’ll see the trail on your right.

Shortly before you reach the coast, you’ll want to take a right onto L-31E/Biscayne Trail. Head straight past the entrance to Biscayne National Park. Take the next left until you come upon the admission station on your left.

Biking from Homestead to Homestead Bayfront Park is about ten miles each way.

Traveling to the Park From Miami

Take I-95 North for less than a mile from downtown Miami before taking FL-836 W for 6.6 miles. You’ll then follow FL-826 S for about eleven miles before merging onto Ronald Reagan Turnpike. After eight miles, you’ll take exit 9A for FL-989 S/SW 112th Ave.

Take a left onto Moody Drive and then turn right onto SW 107th Avenue. This street becomes SW 304th St right before you’ll want to take a left onto SW 112th Ave. Next, you’ll take a right onto Southwest 316th St, a left onto SW 117th Ave, and then a left onto SW 328th St.

Follow this road until you reach the park entrance.

Homestead Bayfront Park Hours and Visitors Information

When is Homestead Bayfront Park open? This lovely, sometimes called Bayside Miami-Dade County park, is open to the public between sunrise and sunset every day. The public swimming hours for their atoll pools are Monday through Friday, 9 am to 6 pm, and 9 am to 7 pm on the weekends.

If you need to contact the park office, their hours are 8 am to 5 pm.

It’s worth noting that there is an entrance fee for Homestead Bayfront Park and Marina. The admission fee per vehicle is $7 on weekends and holidays and $5 during the week. It costs $15 for buses or RVs to enter and boat ramp launch trailers for $13 during the week and $17 on weekends and holidays.

Bayfront, Miami Dade County parks have a strict rule prohibiting the use of floatation devices. While there has been pushback against this law locally, it remains on the books. As of now, only coast guard-approved life vests are permitted for floatation devices.
