Doral Glades Park is located in northwestern Miami-Dade County and consists of a large lake, a nature preserve, sports facilities, and much more. In the summer of 2019, one of Miami’s newest outdoor recreation venues opened in the community of Doral.

Where Is THE Park?

Where is Doral Glades Park located? It’s located a little less than twenty miles northwest of downtown Miami. Situated in the housing community known as Modern Doral, the Miami Dade park is in the city of Doral. Only a little more than 11 miles from Miami International Airport, Doral Glades is the perfect place to get away from it all for some exercise or to go on a peaceful nature walk.

What Amenities Does Doral Glades Park Have?

Doral Glades Park stretches across 25 acres and contains countless amenities that visitors can enjoy. There is a beautiful lake with a natural preserve over 12 acres in the park that includes nature trails, a lighted boardwalk, and a viewing pier.

This Miami-Dade County park also contains plenty of open lawn so you can toss a frisbee, do some yoga, or find a nice spot to take a rest. You can also kayak and fish here, as well as get your game on with two tennis courts, a sand volleyball court, and a basketball court. 

There are also educational opportunities here in the form of the Nature Center which includes interactive nature exhibits. The lighted nature-themed playground is positioned in the shade so you don’t have to worry about your kids playing in the intense South Florida sun.

When Is The Park Open?

The park hours for Doral Glades Park are from 7 am to 9 pm on Monday through Friday, 8 am to 9 pm on Saturday, and 8 am to sunset on Sunday. It’s worth noting that the fishing and kayak launch hours differ from the regular park hours. For these activities, the hours are between park opening and sunset.

The community center also keeps different hours than the park itself. Monday through Friday, the community center at Doral Glades Park is open from 9 am to 9 pm and on the weekends it’s open from 9 am to 5 pm.

One of the primary missions behind the creation of Doral Glades Park was to showcase the lush ecosystem in the area. There are countless ways that you can experience and interact with the unique natural habitat in this Miami-Dade County park, and the scenic pier and boardwalk lead you out into the wetlands.
