Dezerland Park Miami

Are you scouring the internet for the best indoor activities in Miami? Are your kids bored and cooped up, possessing a seemingly endless supply of energy?

Dezerland Park Miami is an indoor theme park that will quickly become your kids’ favorite place to explore and play (and probably yours, too!) Located in North Miami, this massive 250,000 square foot indoor attraction opened in January 2019 and has been a big hit in the Magic City ever since.

Offering endless opportunities for fun and adventure for kids and adults alike, Dezerland Park is outfitted with go-kart tracks, a virtual reality lounge, mini-golf, a ninja warrior obstacle course, rock climbing, and so much more.

Let’s take a look at the best attractions available here, the pricing, and the best Dezerland Park deals.

Karting at Dezerland Park, Miami

If you’re trying to figure out how to have a good time on a rainy day, go-kart racing might just be the perfect solution. No matter what the weather is doing outside, indoor go-karts are a good time any day of the year. There are few things that the whole family can enjoy with so much enthusiasm, but going karting fits the bill!

On top of that, go-karting is even educational for your little ones. It’s a great way for younger drivers and riders to strengthen their reflexes, train their motor skills, and learn about safety.

There are two different electric go-kart tracks at the Miami Dezerland Park location. According to the director of marketing, Robert Morris, Dezerland houses the largest electric track in South Florida. With over 1,300 linear feet of track between the two tracks, the space takes up a whopping 80,000 square feet.

The Cadet track is for racers that are at least 48” tall, while the Pro track has a 58” height minimum. For kids 3 and up who aren’t tall enough for the Cadet track, there’s also a Mini Racer option.

The pricing for all of the karting attractions are:

  • 1 Cadet Car Race: $15
  • 3 Cadet Car Races: $30
  • 1 Pro Kart Race: $20
  • 3 Pro Kart Races: $45
  • 5 Pro Kart Races: $65
  • Mini Racers – 1 Race: $12
  • Karting Head Sock $3

Wondering how fast you and your kids can get going in while go-karting here? Morris says that the Cadet track lets kids get going a little over 30 miles an hour. The Pro track for older kids and adults lets karters reach speeds of over 40 miles an hour.

While you’re zipping around the track, you’ll also get to appreciate some pretty cool handmade murals decorating the space.

The VR Lounge and a Massive Arcade

Once you’ve got your adrenaline pumping at the karting tracks, it might be time to head over to VR Park. With more than 50 games, you can go on incredible and exhilarating adventures without even leaving the park.

Most of the games last between 5 or 7 minutes, but you can also choose to experience the Virtual Arena which lasts up to 45 minutes. It’s worth noting, though, that ten of those minutes are dedicated to getting strapped into your backpack, sensors, and headset.

If you choose to go all in and try the Virtual Arena, you’ll get to shoot zombie-like creatures and mutant rodents that attack from all sides. At the same time, this game will definitely remind you about how comfortable you are with heights.

The pricing for the attractions in the Virtual Reality Lounge are as follows:

  • 1 VR Experience: $8
  • 3 VR Experiences: $20
  • 4 VR Experiences: $25
  • 5 VR Experiences: $30
  • 6 VR Experiences: $35
  • VR Arena (minimum 2 players): $45
  • Unlimited Games (90 minutes): $45

While this isn’t the only place to explore virtual reality in Miami, this more than 13,000 square foot VR Park stands out from the crowd.

If you’re looking for some more old-school fun, there’s a large arcade that can keep your kids and your inner-child entertained all day long. To play around in the arcade, the pricing is:

As you can see, if you’re planning on spending a lot of time in the arcade, you can even get to try out a virtual reality experience or two for free.
